Account books, 1802-1808 and 1821-1828, of the propriators of Potsdam, New York, recording the purchase of th Township of Potsdam by: Herman Le Roy; Le Roy, Bayard & McEvers; Nicholas Fish; Matthew Clarkson; Thomas S. Clarkson; Levinus Clarkson; Garret Van Horn; and David M. Clarkson, from William Constable and his wife, Ann, on November 18, 1802, and the subsequent surveying and sale of lots under the direction of land agent Benjamin Raymond. Volumes record accounts for sales of individual lots, expenses, receipts, costs for surveying the property, etc. Included are the names of many early settlers of Potsdam.
